To prepare your Mac for Voicepoint Helium:

For direct dictation and text transfer functionality, Helium must be authorised to control other applications. For security reasons, this permission cannot be requested at start-up and must therefore be set manually. The permission can be set as described below.

Note: Depending on the macOS version, the graphics may differ.

1. Click on the Apple Logo at the top left and then choose "System Settings...."

2. Click on "Privacy & Security" and then choose "Accessibility"

3. If Voicepoint Helium is present in the list of applications, ensure the toggle switch is set to "On" and close the window, Helium is now usable. If it not present click on the "+" icon and continue to the next step

4. Enter the login data of a user with administrator rights and click on “Modify Settings”

5. Select “Voicepoint Helium” under "Applications” and choose “Open”

6. Helium is now permitted to control the computer

Note: The toggle switch must be set to activated.

7. The window "System Settings" can now be closed
