Terms, Conditions and Refund Policy

It is a condition of sale that you understand and agree to the below policies in regards to warranty, exchange, and returns.

It is also a condition of sale that you accept our Terms of Service.

The Australian Consumer Law (ACL) protects consumers by giving them certain guaranteed rights when they buy goods and services. For example, the ACL requires that goods must be free of defects, and do what they are meant to do. These rights are called ‘Consumer Guarantees’. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced. Consumer Guarantees have no set time limit but are general one year or more depending on the product.
Voice Recognition Australia (VRA) will provide a refund, replacement or repair in accordance with the Warranty/Returns Policy set out below. This Policy only sets out the minimum time periods within which VRA will offer you a refund, replacement or repair.

To obtain a refund or claim warranty on goods, please contact us. You will be required to provide proof of purchase from VRA. VRA needs to be satisfied that the product is faulty, the cause of the fault and that the problem with the goods was not your fault. VRA  reserves the right to have returned goods assessed within a reasonable time frame by the manufacturer to determine this, including whether the goods are defective or simply require some form of basic troubleshooting. Goods will be returned to the customer at VRA’s expense - unless goods are found not to be faulty. If the goods are not faulty, the customer will be required to pay the return shipping and handling fee.

Dragon Cloud Subscription Services
(Dragon Medical One /  Dragon Professional Anywhere)

1. Dragon Medical One and Dragon Professional Anywhere subscription packages are fixed for a period of one year unless otherwise specified. This 12 month subscription period is a condition of sale. This is stated on each invoice.

2. If you wish to cancel your order before the one year period has ended,  you may contact us to action, however no refund will be issued on 12 month agreements - as this is considered as a "change of mind". In some circumstances the remaining subscription can be transferred to a new user.

3. Unused training is non-refundable. And must be completed within 12 months.

4. Multi-User licencing has different terms and conditions that will be discussed before purchase.

Refund Policy for Dragon Software

We comply with Australian Consumer Law, which allows refunds for specific issues. However, "change of mind" refunds are not required under ACL. We occasionally offer refunds at our discretion, provided the product has not been installed or registered. Once a product is registered, used or installed, it is considered in use, and refunds are not possible as the license cannot be recovered from Nuance. For any registration or activation issues, please contact Nuance directly on 1300 856 388.

Philips SpeechLive Subscription Services 

Philips SpeechLive subscription packages are for a period of one year unless otherwise specified and cannot be cancelled or refunded during the subscription period.

Hardware Products

Faulty Hardware: Electrical products such as microphones and headsets have a minimum one year warranty. In some instances, the warranty is greater than one year. Any warranty claim beyond the one year will be handled directly by the manufacturer.

Change of Mind: Unused & Unopened, packaging in good condition (product not faulty) -  is considered a change of mind. VRA will accept a return within seven days (Electrical / Hardware Products only) subject to managers approval. The refund will be less the freight charge and a 15% restocking fee. This change of mind return will only be accepted for orders below $500 that have been purchased directly through this website.

Computer Software
(non-subscription licences)

Faulty software with packaging in any condition or digitally delivered goods: If goods are proven to be faulty then the customer is entitled to a full refund. This software will be tested on the VRA computer systems to see if it is faulty before a refund is issued. This may take up to a week.

Change of Mind: Returns/refunds/exchanges are not offered on digital products or shipped software (including downloads & USB). Please contact us if you have any questions about this.

Manufacture's Assistance:
Many manufacturers have support centres designed specifically to deal with issues about their products. In many circumstances, the manufacturer may be able to provide a quicker assessment of, and remedy for, any issue with your product. You may prefer to contact the manufacturer rather than VRA. If at any time you are not satisfied with the manufacturer’s remedy about your legal rights, you can contact VRA for assistance.

Training and Services: 
Training and services purchased from Voice Recognition Australia are valid for one year. Training and services are not refundable if they have not been used within that one-year period.
