Thank you very much for following me up. Your training was extremely valuable to me as well as the little tips, eg the enter key to turn on and off the Dragon microphone.
Yes, I would very much like some additional training!
While I am still learning the nuances of Dragon Naturally Speaking software, Voice Recognition Australia's training has really helped me make great progress.
For a number of years during my employment with DFAT (1989-2004) I was assisted in use of Dragon dictate by Russell Bewsell. I was one of the first persons employed by DFAT to use this software and use of this technology had a major impact in facilitating my work owing to a long-standing overuse injury. The assistance provided by Russell in using this software was always of the very highest quality. I would keep a note of particular queries and Russell would visit me in the Department and systematically work through my queries. This allowed me to use this software with minimal interruption to my work. I am not a technical person and Russell demonstrated excellent communication skills and complete mastery of this software. I am happy if you wish to talk directly with me and I can be contacted on request.
I would like to thank you so much for your effort yesterday in teaching me how to use Dragon Medical. I have to admit I was very reluctant to use in Dragon software for a long time, as I have very busy schedule during the day and do not have much time to correct the letters. From the first day I contacted you to setup Dragon Medical in my practice, I found you dealing in a very professional way and always have the patience and time to explain everything. Yesterday during my training it was no exception, you allowed for plenty of time to explain everything thoroughly. I am very pleased with the results, and very excited about this experience. I will be highly recommending your services to all my colleagues. Thank you again and looking to deal with you again in the future.
Dragon Medical has transformed the my progress notes, in 3 ways:
1. They are legible for me and for others (they are not the scrawl that is my handwriting)
2. As they are computerised, I can source a patient’s progress notes remotely.
3. My notes more accurately reflect my thinking about a patient, I can get much more subtlety and nuance into the progress notes because I dictate them. When I read my notes again 3 months later, I can quickly return to my understanding of the patient as it was at the closure of the last consultation.
This not only improves my efficiency, it makes me a better doctor.
Dragon Medical is fantastic.
